hand. "Yeah, just say your piece then..."

"Smart kid!" he snarls. "OK, tell your Sidhe .. Modraine, tell 
him this. Lady Maeve of the House of Balor seeks an audience 
and expects to receive the full measure of his hospitality. 
In return she agrees to cease any hostilities real or imagined,
until midnight tonight. He has until daybreak to answer and he 
knows where to reach us to do that!"

He lets go of Nyx and pushes her forward while stepping back
himself. His two goons slowly retreat a few feet and join him.*
 
The Satyr is not unprepared and falls deliberately into a 
forward roll moving herself away from Quaid. She comes up on her
feet and pivots neatly to face him in a defensive position.
She is not attacking but is obviously ready to defend herself.

Nyx is now staring at Quaid and staring at him very hard. It
is not a staredown look or a challenging or even an hostile
stare. The Satyrs eyes are scanning the Redcap with great 
and thorough deliberation.
