Sinclair Party
1 - 3 am
Jack, Christine
Mortals +
Jack starts applauding loudly, oblivious as to whether
anyone is joining in. After a minute or so, he
carefully steps down to the chair and, finally, to the
safety of the floor. Once again, the gods are smiling
on him, as no bones or furniture are broken in the
process.
The crowd appears to be amused by the drunk and still in high enough spirits
to join the applause.
[Sandra]
"Ah yes," she says nodding lightly. "I had the privilege of having met Dr.
Lazarus a little earlier this evening. A fascinating man. I haven't had a
chance to explore the museum yet, but I am looking forward to the chance to
go very soon. Given the professional circles I run in, I have a personal as
well as a professional interest in the Egyptian Exhibit."
"Are you a patron of the Arts as well, Mr. Bradley?" she asks turning to the
tuxedoed gentleman.
before Bradley can reply, the sound of raucus laghter and laoud clapping
comes from outside. Somebody pokes thre head into the room where Lady
Sincalir, Sandra and Bradford are in conversation to explain the reason for
the applause.
"Some high spirited acknowledgement of your top draw event old thing!" The
slightly merry chinless wonder slurs before ducking out again.
"Do Excuse me my dears" Lady Sinclairs coos. "One mustn't disapoint one's
audience after all." she disentangles herself and steops back into the main
lobby to recieve her applause.
The String Quartet finish the tune they are playing and pack up. Using the
applause as thier excuse to head off.
No amount od begging and pleading from Mr SinClair can get them to stay any
longer. They remind him that they were only booked till midnight and the
'bonus' they were given tio stay first another hour and then two more will
keep them in expensive furs till summer comes again, so no thank you.
They politely but hurridly carry thier instruments out the front door and
into their cars. The act seems to be aclue for several of the guests to
start saying thier goodbyes. Mostly mortals and the men and women of Lady
Sinclair's generation but the hostess herself has yet to falter.
The Melcom party leave within ten minutes of the musicians and Damien Carter
follows soon after. John's friend Matt is seen slipping away with a girl on
his arm. But there are still several hard core party goers in attendece. Not
all of them undead.
