Mara, Lady Sinclair

The party is unravelling slowly as drifts of guests make toward the exit. As she politely negotiates her way back to the drawing room where she last saw Lady Sinclair with Mr Bradley and Ms Scoland, Mara suddenly feels like she is the focus of somebody's attention. As she glances around, she catches sight of a white blonde, delicate as an ice rose, part of the general exodus from the party, near the main doors. She stands beside a dark, strong featured man who is bowing a little too theatrically over Lady Sinclair's hand. As Mara's eyes widen, the blonde looks directly at her. Camille Carlton. Mara knows the man, too. 


Camille's eyes narrow then her gaze drops away. She smiles a little forcedly at Lady Sinclair who is now garrulously saying her goodbyes. There is a slight tension in Camille's body language; a nervousness to her smile. 

"Thank you for comming!" Lady Margeuritte cooes as people are paraded past her. "Such a lovelly dress ... necklace ... nose job ... "
