Allen Bradley, Marguerite Sinclair, Mara Ravenclaw, and a phonecall
  A Pair of Mortals, a Vampire, and a voice
  Sinclair Mansion
   
  "Think you can find it?"  Mara asks.  "I'm sure Lady Sinclair would be delighted to see you again."
   
  Bradley politely stepped back and chatted with Lady Sinclair while Mara spoke on the telephone.  Taking a phone call in the middle of a conversation was incredibly rude, but luckily Allen Bradley didn’t share his employer’s obsessions with formality and proper behavior.  Truth be told, he didn’t think very much of it.  While Mara was occupied with giving directions over the phone, he moved a slight bit closer to Lady Sinclair, situating himself so that their previous three-way conversation was now limited to two people.
   
  He thought of making an excuse and heading home to his daughters, but they were in good hands with the nanny.  Instead, he carried on their previous conversation while waiting for Ms. Ravenclaw to get off the phone.
