The Isle of Crabs
The numbers were hard to discern. The Banes appeared to be so fragile
and inconsistent that they flowed through one another and into each
other. Perhaps twenty in total. Or maybe just one. It was like facing a
hive of bees or a swarm of jelly fish. Certainly the mass had yet to
notice them, or to care if it had. The crabs carried the three Garou out
towards them but the Banes simply continued to feed, eroding the Crab
spirits like acid.
> "And the battle for the island has already started," she added,
pointing to where the banes had already started to attack the spirits.
"It looks like we don't have the luxury of choosing our battleground."
"Well, that's it then," says Korben before he takes point.
(Relevant Data: Spirit of the Fray, but not likely to spend Gnosis
against enemies that have Rage; Wits+Alertness 6; Dex+Brawl 8, Dex+Dodge
6, Strength 7, Stamina 7, Rage 2, Gnosis 3.)
The Banes will not recat first, but for next round they have an
Initiative of 4.

Although he's not entirely sure how to kill them, in the end werewolves
almost always fight the same way. Korben spends a Rage point in order
to reserve a defense action, and takes a vicious claw-swipe at the
nearest, er, bane thingy.

Nez wasn't happy at the thought of fighting beings that moved like oil.
Fortunately, Ahrouns were taught how best to fight all kinds of beings-
spirit, flesh, and everything in between. She'd take her cue from him.
Nez will defend herself, but she's primarily watching- looking to see
how/if Korben's attack affects the Banes, if there's a pattern in the
way the Banes act, or anything else that strikes her as important.
